The first of Larry’s twelve trips to India was in 2002 when contact with indigenous church planters in training “broke my heart.” A former Oldsmobile dealer, Larry considers Bible teaching and evangelism his main gifts. He has served as an Elder in local church ministry, leading men’s groups, Bible studies, and global mission efforts. With many years of experience in land development, Larry currently leads a residential real estate development team in Charlotte, NC. This business endeavor provides funding to advance the Gospel in many areas, primarily in India. Larry and Cathy have been married 31 years, and they have three children and eight grandchildren.![]()
Global missions have always been central to Doug’s work and ministry. He has ministered and facilitated training in 30 countries, traveling to India more than 20 times, and currently serves on two international mission boards. Doug is the visionary leader of Kaleo Church Network, a church-planting network of missional leaders based in Iowa and California. An alumnus of Dallas Theological Seminary, Doug served nine years as Senior Pastor of Crossroads Bible Church in San Jose, CA. He served with BILD International from 1991 through 2012, first as a project participant and later as Vice President and Director of International Partnerships. Doug has been married to Marilyn for 41 years, and they have three children and 12 grandchildren.![]()
After earning a BA Degree from Bethany College, where he distinguished himself as a student athlete, Joe began his professional career as an auditor. He subsequently served as a real estate development CFO for more than 15 years, excelling in real estate finance, human resources, and construction management accounting. In 2012, Joe started MJ Consulting where he leverages his more than 24 years’ experience to teach business owners how to manage their business finances and improve profitability. Joe has taught financial counseling through his church and has served as the treasurer for a small Christian school in Concord, NC. Joe has been married to Lori for 18 years, and they have three daughters.
Jason is a founding Board member and has been to India twice. A consummate entrepreneur since the age of 13, Jason is the owner and president of Bessire & Associates, a thriving forward-thinking national recruitment firm. For more than 20 years, he has stayed on the cutting edge of uncovering hard-to-find talent. Jason also serves as a consultant and career coach for business leaders and those at a career crossroads. He teaches a Community Bible Study and loves to hear people’s stories. He has a passion for encouraging others to “live out loud and on purpose.” Jason has been married to Leigh for 30 years, and they have three boys.
Cathy has traveled to India once. She joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ following graduation from the University of North Dakota. Her campus ministry began at the University of Buffalo, followed by Rutgers and Princeton. Following the death of both their spouses, she and Larry met and married in 1991. As a gifted and trained elementary teacher, her passion is teaching, mentoring, and discipling women through Bible study.

Paul and his wife Melonie are blessed with four children, two daughters-in-law, and seven grandchildren. He and Melonie attend Calvary Church of Charlotte, where they support outreach ministries including SIM International, Sports Friends International, and Hope for India. Personally, Paul enjoys growing in faith, investing in family and business endeavors, music, lake life, outdoor activities, and time with his dog “Sven.” Professionally, he is the founder of Consortium Structured Investments, a Charlotte-based boutique firm specializing in tax equity investments, with prior experience spanning three decades in real estate trust, investment banking, and capital markets with Wachovia Bank/First Union.
Bob has been to India one time and has been very involved with missions for many years including nearly 20 years on the Board of Hope India Mission led by Pastor E. A. Abraham in Bihar, India. Bob served as an elder for 6 years at Life Fellowship Church, Cornelius. He and his wife have been board members of Endurance with Dave and Jan Dravecky for 25 years Bob is currently active in the residential real estate development business. He and Christy have been married for 26 years and have 3 children.
George Stagg, a history graduate of Iowa State University, was deeply shaped by BILD International’s church-based training in Ames, Iowa, where he also served on staff for nearly a decade. In 2007 he moved to Minneapolis–St. Paul to launch Twin Cities Church, developing a network of house congregations modeled on New Testament patterns and focused on community transformation and long-term disciple-making. In 2011, he co-founded Twin Cities Ministries with Seth Evans to engage local churches in addressing the needs of people coming out of crime and addiction. Today, as Lead Pastor of Twin Cities Church, George continues to champion the vision of churches working directly and relationally to meet the city’s most pressing needs. George has trained leaders focused on church establishment around the world.
