Our Strategy
Hope for India is committed to advancing human dignity and holistic renewal in a nation marked by both immense opportunity and deep need. To do this well, HFI has developed a framework that guides our partnerships and ensures integrity in every initiative. We seek to be a trusted channel through which resources can flow to local leaders who are bringing lasting transformation to India’s communities.
We do this by:

- Maintaining a streamlined, nimble organization

Because India is so diverse, we believe the most effective way to serve communities is through local leaders. Indigenous initiatives (Indians serving Indians) remove cultural and language barriers and create credibility in ways outsiders cannot.
HFI is uniquely positioned to identify trustworthy, proven leaders who are already making an impact in underserved areas. Our vetting process examines their experience, reliability, and willingness to collaborate within HFI’s accountability structure.
On behalf of our Resource Partners, HFI requires that leaders gather, organize, and report their information regularly and transparently. We have developed strong systems of accountability, including access to records and oversight of operations, so that every gift is stewarded with integrity.
HFI is committed to operating with simplicity and efficiency. By keeping our U.S. staff small, we ensure that more than 90% of all funds are directed to the work on the ground in India. This allows us to respond quickly to needs and maximize the impact of every dollar.

We come alongside indigenous worshiping groups and missions in every corner of India, equipping them to do the work God has called them to do. So, the churches they plant are theirs. We provide the training, resources, and accountability to help them be self-sustaining and successful.
100% of our ministry partners in India are Indian nationals. Our church planting programs were developed by Indians, for Indians, and have been designed to work effectively within the specific physical, emotional, and social challenges faced by Indians.
